My friend has a smallish interactive treat dispenser that looks like a ufo with paw-sized holes on the sides. It rocks a bit, and her cat loves it. I think mine would, too, but we don’t know the name of it.

In reply to Lisa Davis. When cats have experienced the wonderfulness of a semi-outside territorial place it's hard for them to get used to being 100% indoor, especially males. What I can suggest is trying to set up an area in your home (if possible) putting a cat grass pot, and arranging a place where your cat can jump to sunbathe and chill. My cat is also very hard to make her engage in games and we also had to switch her from being semi-outdoor to completely indoor. What has worked for my cat Sophie is the SmartyKat Hot Pursuit, the Triple Way cat tunnel, and the latest hit for her is a homemade toy I made using a feather tied to a piece of dental floss, as a string, this toy makes her play like crazy. But every cat is different and you will have to try with different toys to get the winner, but try to provide your cat what he lost somehow, he will appreciate it.

My indoor is very docile and unmotivated however he is not “old” cat. He had a house with fenced in backyard that he loved to wander through the herb garden/cat grass that I planted and laying on the brick work that I layered having sun and shade! I have yet to find any toy that gives my cat the grandeur of his own “cat park.” I find it abusive when large dogs are controlled to minimal dog run instead of free range! What are suggestions?!

I have the funkitty eggercizer which I use as a regular food dispenser for my lazy chubby cat. I recently noticed that it is scratching my wood floors because of the way she moves it (she pushes down on it instead of batting it from the side). I recommend only using that toy on carpet or tile.
