In reply to Julie Martinez. Hello Julie, the SureFlap cat door features a memory that stores up to 32 microchip ID's. That memory retains all the info you put in it so if you replace the batteries, this information won't be erased.

When replacing the batteries do we need to totally re-program for each microchip again?

I fitted the cat flap first to a carton box so the cat could get used to it. Once fitted to the door she got it straight away. The app is slow and not always reliable. Sometimes it warns about the product being disconnected when it is not. The base station needs to be very close to the cat flap (Too close)
